Jazz Orchestra

The Bakersfield Jazz Orchestra, founded by trumpeter Steve Eisen, consists of outstanding musicians who have offered their talent and support to the Bakersfield Jazz Workshop.

The mission of the orchestra is to preserve the history of jazz by promoting awareness via public concerts and clinics. The BJO performs  compositions and arrangements by jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Glenn Miller, as well as its own music representing the many genres of jazz.
