11/17/20 – Featured Artist: Mark Meyer (w/ Tony Rinaldi) LIVE at Wiki’s!

Tuesday, November 17, 7:00 pm, Bakersfield Jazz Workshop will host our first live in-person event since the pandemic began! This will be a LIVE concert with sax/clarinet/flute virtuoso Mark Meyer and pianist Tony Rinaldi. We will observe all social distancing protocols, in conformance with state and local guidelines.

Mark Meyer is one of Bakersfield’s “first call” woodwind musicians, has been a regular member of the Starz Orchestra, Bakersfield Jazz Orchestra, and a frequent participant at Jazz Workshop since 2006. He leads the Westchester Saxophone Quartet, who perform a holiday concert each year at BJW. (Watch for them in December!) His beautiful sound and rhythm have been recognized throughout our area as one of the best.

Tony Rinaldi, a former BJW scholarship recipient, has been a frequent contributor to BJW for years, serving on our standing backline band, performing with many of our featured artists, playing with numerous local jazz/rock/popular groups, and is considered a top-tier keyboard player by all who know him.

Together, Mark and Tony are guaranteed to deliver a solid set of great jazz this Tuesday!

This event will also be streamed live online, so you can still enjoy the show even if you can’t come out to Wiki’s.

Join us Tuesday at 7:00 pm at Wiki’s Wine Dive & Grill (11350 Ming Ave. 93311), or online by visiting our Facebook page here.
