Hey, Jazz lovers, April is Jazz Appreciation Month!

Since we’re all safely quarantined at home and keeping each other safe, this is a great time to pull out those great jazz LP’s and CD’s and listen to them. Maybe you’ll hear something new that you never noticed before. All you musicians, use this time to woodshed, work on your chops, learn a new instrument or learn/write some new songs, and be ready to come out with some fresh material when this is all over.

Remember, our motto here at BJW is “Hear it! Learn it! Play it!” Keep in touch, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon!

(Important announcement: Because of concerns about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Bakersfield Jazz Workshop will be temporarily suspended, until further notice. We will monitor guidance from health officials week-to-week and base our decision of when to resume on their recommendations. Although this is disappointing for our musicians and jazz lovers, we are erring on the side of caution, and will keep you posted, via email, Twitter and Facebook, as this situation develops.)
