Donald Dean and His Quartet – Free Clinic/Concert Mar. 14

We hope everyone has some time to join us this Wednesday, Mar. 14, for our next Bakersfield Jazz Workshop at Le Corusse Rouge! This week we are offering the second of the BJW’s 2012 Clinician Series. We are proud to present Donald Dean and His Quartet for this FREE clinic/concert.

Los Angeles based drummer Dean has been a mainstay in the jazz world for years and will be making his much anticipated return appearance to the BJW. And for all of you Workshop regulars, Donald is the grandfather of the BJW’s own wunderkind, 13 yr. old  pianist Jamael Dana Dean.

As with all of our clinics, there will be an opportunity for some to join Donald’s band in a jam session during the final set. Please sign up at our front desk if you’d like to participate.

This should be a fantastic evening of jazz – please get there early to get a good seat. (Note: There will be no Beginning Jazz Improv class this week.)

The format for the workshop this week is:

7:00 – 8:00 PM: Clinic

8:15 – 9:00 PM: First Set

9:15 – 10 PM: Second set with limited Jazz Jam Session
